1066 – Battle of Fulford

Harald Hardrada and Tostig Godwinsson fights the Northumbrian jarls Edwin and Morcar and gain the northern English lands. This was a complex battle of brothers claiming the English crown, a Norwegian king looking for plunder and two Northumbrian jarls seeking to keep the Vikings out.
