Imagine yourself walking up a mountain range in Oppland, Norway. Then, out of the blue, you stumble across a Viking sword. This happened early September 2017. A reindeer hunter noticed something between the loose stones and pulled out a sword. Two local archaeologists went up the mountain shortly after. They date the sword, that is in excellent condition, to the Viking Age on the basis of its shape.
